Greener Pastures is a mini documentary series celebrating the journeys, resilience, and achievements of Africans and other diverse cultures building meaningful lives in Ireland. The series highlights the stories of Nigerians and other migrants who are making valuable contributions to Irish society across communities, professions, and everyday life.
The pilot season features five short episodes (10–12 minutes each), with each episode spotlighting one individual and their personal story. Filmed in places that feel authentic to each participant, from workplaces to neighborhoods, these stories capture the realities, challenges, and successes of building a life in a new country.
The season concludes with a final episode that brings all the stories together, reflecting the shared spirit of ambition, identity, and belonging shaping modern Ireland.
Greener Pastures is ultimately about more than migration; it’s about identity, opportunity, and the ways cultures enrich one another. By sharing these stories, the series hopes to inspire conversation, foster understanding, and celebrate the diverse voices shaping modern Ireland.
Founder & Producer
Gbenga is the founder and producer of Greener Pastures, leading the vision behind the documentary series. With a background in technology and professional experience as a Senior Tech Engineer, he brings strong problem solving, communication, and project coordination skills into media production. Gbenga is passionate about storytelling that highlights real experiences and meaningful contributions of Africans and other diverse communities in Ireland. Through Greener Pastures, he aims to create a platform that celebrates culture, identity, and the journeys that shape modern Irish society.
Director
Biodun Laaro is the Director of Greener Pastures and the media personality responsible for coordinating the entire production process. With experience in media, storytelling, and community engagement, he plays a key role in shaping the narrative direction of the series, guiding interviews, managing on-set production, and ensuring that each episode authentically reflects the voices and experiences of the
individuals featured. Biodun’s who is a project manager with one of the leading banks in Ireland has background in media and communication has equipped him with the ability to connect with diverse audiences while turning real-life journeys into compelling visual stories. His leadership behind the scenes ensures that the documentary maintains both creative quality and meaningful storytelling from concept to final production.
Cinematographer
Elijah Dyeris is the cinematographer for Greener Pastures and the creative force responsible for capturing the visuals that bring each story to life. Known for his technical expertise with camera equipment and his eye for authentic storytelling, Elijah handles the filming, shot composition, lighting, and visual framing throughout the series. With experience in video production and visual content creation, he focuses on translating real moments into powerful cinematic imagery that connects audiences to the people and environments featured in the documentary. His work ensures that every episode visually reflects the emotion, culture, and atmosphere of the journeys being told.
